A graduate from The New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts, Cora Jean-Baptiste’s very first role growing up was Mary Magdalene in her church’s production of An Easter Story. From there, Cora fell in love with acting and went on to be in several other theater and film productions. Cora also began to take dance and vocal lessons throughout middle and high school. Cora has always lived by the moto “Life should be a musical”, she feels there is no emotion, thought, or feeling that cannot be expressed through song and dance. Looking up to actress Sanaa Lathan is also how Cora realized that performing and acting was something she would love to do for the rest of her life. When Cora was a junior in high school, she booked her first professional role and joined the St. Louis Black Repertory Theater in their production of The Wiz. A couple years after high school, Cora moved her career to New York and found a passion for film while also growing her name in the theater community.
